The method

Step by step

  1. 1

Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.

    About 1 min

  2. 2

Add the chicken breast to the skillet and season with salt and black pepper.

  3. 3

Cook the chicken for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until browned and cooked through.

    About 7 min

Cook’s note: Ensure the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 74°C (165°F).

  4. 4

Remove the cooked chicken from the skillet and set aside.

  5. 5

Reduce the heat to medium, then add the garlic to the same skillet and cook for 1 minute until fragrant.

    About 1 min

Cook’s note: Do not let the garlic burn, as it will become bitter.

  6. 6

Pour in the heavy cream and chicken broth, then add the cream cheese.

  7. 7

Whisk constantly until the cream cheese is fully melted and the sauce is smooth.

    About 3 min

  8. 8

Stir in the Parmesan cheese and continue to whisk until the cheese is melted and the sauce thickens slightly.

    About 2 min

  9. 9

Return the cooked chicken to the skillet with the sauce and stir to coat.

  10. 10

Add the zucchini noodles to the skillet and toss gently with the chicken and sauce until just heated through, about 2-3 minutes.

    About 3 min

Cook’s note: Avoid overcooking the zucchini noodles to keep them from becoming watery.

  11. 11

Serve immediately, garnished with fresh parsley if desired.
